Description

Sometimes we like to eat breakfast for dinner or, in the case of this smoothie, pretend like we’re eating dessert for breakfast because what even is time? We know pandemic mornings can be a struggle, but this sweet and creamy treat will give you the get up and go you need for that 9am Zoom meeting.

Ingredients

Scale

3 frozen bananas, broken into chunks

2 cups unsweetened plain oat milk

½ cup toasted walnuts, plus more for serving

4 dried medjool dates, pitted

1 teaspoon vanilla

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon fine sea salt

Date syrup, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender combine bananas, oat milk, walnuts, dates, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Blend on high speed until smooth.
  2. Divide smoothie between 2 glasses. Drizzle generously with date syrup, and top with walnuts. Serve with straws.
